Canadian Forces Base 5 Wing - Goose Bay
Participated in joint military training here in 1986; cold weather, airborne operations & tactical training. This joint base (Goose Bay) was well situated for our mission and even though we spent considerable time out in the elements, we did return for refitting, debriefing and warming up. Several days of regular snowfall with one large storm blowing through, severe temperature drop (-57°f wind chill not factored in). Lots of great training and hospitality here.
